High Five
Hey everybody! Summer's sneaking in and boy do I have quite the itinerary! I'm thinking ice cream, road trips, and long walks on the beach to name a few! I've been a busy Basset already this spring. I got to go to the car show here in town and see my dad win a cool trophy! I've also gotten to hang out with my BFF Maggie and my friends Duke and Kimber. I get to go for ice cream quite often and I've been taking lots of rides in the hot rods! I've been spending lots of time at my family's camp by the pond but I got in trouble the last time for rolling in a dead fish so I had to get a bath when I got home. I also got to go to a brewery a couple weeks ago where I sat on many laps around the firepit and threw back some cold ones. I've had so much fun the past couple months but you know what next week will bring? My birthday! I'm so excited because I know I'm going to get presents from my family but I'm also sort of nervous. You see, I'm turning five and I know being five comes with a lot of responsibility. You can't just get away with things anymore like you could when you were four. I've given it a lot of thought and I think I'm ready to take the bull by the horns. I can't change turning five so I might as well embrace it.
